How we calculate compliance scores, classify risk levels, and use AI to help you get compliant.
Your overall compliance score is a weighted average of four input categories, each reflecting a key area of EU AI Act compliance.
Whether your AI systems have been properly identified and classified under the EU AI Act risk framework (Unacceptable, High, Limited, Minimal).
The completeness and approval status of required compliance documents — DPIAs, transparency notices, risk assessments, and conformity declarations.
The percentage of your team that has completed Article 4 AI literacy training with a passing quiz score.
The proportion of identified compliance gaps that have been resolved or are actively being addressed.
Significant compliance gaps exist. Immediate action required to address prohibited practices and fundamental requirements.
Some compliance foundations are in place, but major areas need attention before enforcement deadlines.
Good progress on compliance. Continue addressing remaining gaps and maintaining documentation.
Strong compliance posture. Maintain documentation, continue training, and monitor for regulatory updates.
AI systems are classified into risk levels based on the EU AI Act framework, particularly Annex III which lists high-risk use cases.
AI systems that pose a clear threat to people's safety, livelihoods, or rights. These are banned under Article 5 (e.g., social scoring, manipulative AI).
AI used in sensitive areas listed in Annex III: biometric identification, critical infrastructure, education, employment, essential services, law enforcement, migration, and justice. Subject to strict requirements.
AI systems with specific transparency obligations under Article 50: chatbots must disclose they are AI, deepfakes must be labeled, emotion recognition must be disclosed.
AI systems that pose no significant risk. No specific regulatory obligations, but voluntary codes of conduct are encouraged. Most common business AI tools fall here.
AktAI uses a combination of AI-powered analysis and deterministic rules. Here is what each does.

Scores are indicative — They are based on self-reported data entered by your organization. We cannot independently verify the accuracy or completeness of the information you provide.
Not legal advice — AktAI provides AI-assisted compliance guidance. This is not legal advice and does not replace consultation with a qualified legal professional.
AI-generated content requires review — Documents and recommendations generated by AI should be reviewed by your compliance team before being treated as final.
Regulation evolves — The EU AI Act is new, and implementing legislation, guidance, and standards are still being developed. Our methodology will be updated as clarity emerges.
